A garden of memories

March 4, 2011NehaVersed, Word expressions1 Comment

There’s a garden always blooming
It’s the garden I see from within me
A garden of my life’s memories
A garden that I breed as I breathe

A peaceful meadow of green canvas
Splashed with colors so vibrant
It feels like the rainbow spilled over
Making me smile from deep within

I see beautiful red roses giving me love
A family of fragrant lavenders stand tall
The friendly sunflowers are smiling at me
While pretty white daisies sway in peace

A moment of comfort, a moment of bliss
Radiates through me, making me proud
That moment lasts only to be disturbed
By the realization that something’s amiss

My vision has reached far to now see
Wilted dying flowers that I cannot help
Vile weeds of hurt that make me cry
My beautiful garden is all tainted

Why oh why, I ask myself…
Did I not nurture it with my heart and soul?
Do I not have that green thumb?
For I only want to see those rainbow colors

So it dawns upon me… I smile again
The rainbow colors are still right there
Wilts and weeds I can pluck and forget
My garden is as beautiful as I wish it be
