A memory of Neha Limaye (1974–2026), artist, writer and cook. Shared by Erin.
When I first became a member of Sunset Lake, I recall being down there while Harshal and Neha were preparing for a party. Although the weather was questionable, they both continued setting up since they were expecting many people to arrive. When it was time for their event, the clouds opened up. It absolutely poured the whole night. Harshal, Neha and all of the guests payed no mind to it whatsoever! I recall Neha coming up to me and inviting me to have some food, have a cocktail, take part in the party. The weather did not affect her at all. She was so thrilled to be sharing the night with her family and friends and was so happy to extend the invite to everyone. That was probably the first night I met Neha. For the next 15 years, she continued to greet me with a smile and welcome me to her gatherings . Although I don’t have any photos, I will forever remember her sunny disposition and her open heart. She was always so welcoming! Her huge heart was what made Neha, Neha!
