Bat(over)man

Bat(over)man Series: Contrasting drama Series: Bridging that gap . This was some experience! 1.5 million bats living under the Congress Ave bridge in Downtown Austin, Tx. fly out every evening at sunset to get food. We happened to pick a perfect day, with the perfect sunset to experience this phenomenon. To add to it all, Captain Joel of @lone_star_riverboat made it very very entertaining. The moment pictured here, was the highlight of it all. The sun had just gone down, the blue twilight sky was at its best with the dark silhouettes of both man and bird formed the perfect foreground. This view lasted only for a few seconds before the silhouettes dispersed and the sky turned darker... but it’s etched in my memory and this picture forever. . . . . . #austintexas #austintx #austin #batsofinstagram #batsofcongressavenuebridge #bats #nehalimayephotography #nehalimaye #sunset #downtownaustin #congressavenue #boatride #silhouette #photography #thingstodoinaustin #weekendgetaway #friendstrip #seriesbridgingthatgap #seriescontrastingdrama #nightphotography #outdoorphotography #travelphotography #travelgram #traveldiaries #traveling
