Cookies? Or cheesecake?

June 24, 2020

Cookies? Or cheesecake? How about cheesecake cookies? . So now that school’s officially done and the kids are off of distance learning... they are going to be rummaging the kitchen even more than before! So why not have them pitch in? And these cheesecake cookies or Ann Marie’s cookies, as I call them... couldn’t be easier to reel them in. Easy to make and even easier to be devoured. . To make you’ll need - 1 cup all purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), 1 pack cream cheese (8 oz). Bring butter and cheese to room temp. Mix all ingredients together to form batter. Scoop approx. golf ball sized batter dollops about an inch apart on a greased baking sheet. Smush a pecan on top of each dollop. Bake in a preheated oven (350F) for approx. 15 minutes or until edges and bottoms of cookies brown, but centers are soft. Cool on wire rack. These proportions yield approx. 16-18 cookies. Enjoy! . Why I call them Ann Marie’s cookies - Ann Marie and I worked together 15 years ago. One day while waiting in the lunch line, AM shared this recipe with me and the ease and taste of these stayed with me ever since. These are a regular at my house - for occasions or just like that. AM moved down south soon after and over time we lost touch. But every time I make these, I think of AM and smile. These are truly AM’s #platedexpressions. . Tips: These are great as an eggless dessert and the pecans can be switched to any other nut, jam, fruit, or chocolate chips. . . . . . #cookies #cheesecakecookies #cheesecake #softandgooey #yummy #baking #dessert #sweettooth #tasty #bitesize #meltinyourmouth #bestcookie #easycookies #easyrecipes #quickrecipes #cookiesofinstagram #cookiegram #buzzfeast #huffposttaste #cookingwithgoodful #cookniche #cooksillustrated #damnthatsdelish
