Happy Mother’s Day! To all us moms... we come in all shapes and sizes, with all kinds of temperaments, but the one thing we hold in common... is our unconditional love for our children. A special shout-out to my beautiful mom @kiranpallod who is elegance personified, is brutally honest and is hands down the best cook there is. I am pretty sure that all the love for art and food that I inherited, comes from her. Her eye for aesthetics - even our everyday meals had a plate full of color. Her nurturing ability - whether that was on us kids or her plants, she showered love. Her keenness to absorb knowledge - I truly grew up eating food from all cuisines, including cuisines of countries we had never visited. If I could be half the mother she has been... I can very well claim that I’m a pretty good one. Dedicating today’s post to Mom with memories of soft idlis that I would wake up to on many weekend mornings. Although we come from roots in Northern India, the fact that one of my cherished memories is of home cooked food from the South, goes to show the versatility that is my Mom.
