Living graffiti Series: Imagine [acrylic on canvas, 60” x 48”] Swipe to get a glimpse of me ➡️ The story behind this piece - All original art is a result of circumstances and surroundings influencing the artist’s mind. What you feel is what goes on the canvas. Thoughts can be crystal clear or all muddled up. This one started all muddled up. Indecisive, unclear, confused, what was coming out on the canvas wasn’t matching what was going on in my head. Changes happened and happened again. At one point, I had deemed it complete... but a night’s sleep and I was back in the studio. My thoughts stacked up and so did layers of textures on the canvas. That got me thinking - this was very much like life: we feel, we think, we do, we go forward, we step back, we redo and so on. That builds up layers of learnings and textures of experiences! That’s when a wall filled with graffiti flashed in my thoughts. Graffiti - the art that is a nuisance to some, but I believe it’s one of the richest forms of expression. Look closely at a wall that has weathered through and been painted on by many. It will tell you stories. Of those who had something to tell, to express, to share with one and all who passed by. Isn’t that what we are too? A living graffiti? With expressions and thoughts to share as we walk through life. Sending vibes to all who cross our paths, known or unknown. As we go on living, our wall of expression weathers it all, peeling layers, new paint, fading color and more... but all of it sums up to years of beautiful textures. Is this my favorite work? No. None ever are. I always want to try more. But this definitely can be said to be one of significant learning. And that makes it special. So I decided to give you a peek at me - the expressionist behind it. 😊 . . . #nehalimayeart #seriesimagine #newpainting #originalart #art #abstractart #artwork #artist #artistlife #artistsoninstagram #artoftheday #artwithamessage #todaysartreport #artgallery #artcollection #colorcrushcreative #graffiti #live #life #_thinkart #artgram #contemporaryart #paintingoftheday #contemporarypainting #lifesizeart #artgalleries #artlover #expressionistart #expressionism
