Oh sweet garlic!
October 6, 2020
Oh sweet garlic! . Yes. I called garlic sweet. And pun intended. It’s sweeeet, as in great... in any form, but when roasted... it does have a nutty, sweet hint to its taste. And nothing says Fall or the Holidays like sweet old roasted garlic. Yummm! . Simply drizzle the garlic pod with some olive oil, wrap in tin foil and toss it in the oven at 400F for approx. 10-20 minutes or until soft and caramelized on top. Once done, squeeze the inners out and use in pastas, topped on crostinis, in dips, soups... the possibilities are endless. . My serving here: Toasted open faced baguette with warm Brie spread on them, topped with butter sautéed Maitake and Hon Shimeji mushrooms with a generous topping of our showstopper roasted garlic! It does not get any better than this. Seriously. 😋 . Thank you to my good friend @pragysb for bringing me these exotic mushrooms from the farmers market! They made for the perfect accompaniment to this roasted garlic plated expression! . Make it. Share it. Tag it #platedexpressions .
