Strawberry Twisted Tiramisu

Strawberry Twisted Tiramisu Or Strawberry-Misu as my cousin named it. Last month, I had the pleasure of hosting a “Dessert Bar Wedding Shower” for my cousin. From concept to execution - the journey was a sweet one. I wanted to serve something fruity along side the other desserts... as we had farm fresh strawberries in the house. But my heart was also stuck on Tiramisu as we had fresh coffee delivered from Kerala, in south India. Thus was born this concoction. To make, I layered the bottom of cups with broken up lady fingers, poured a few spoons of freshly brewed coffee. Cooked up some chopped strawberries in orange juice just until they were tender, added some Grand Marnier to that for a spike. Layered the strawberry jam/syrup on top of the lady fingers. Next came a layer of mascarpone cheese mixed with strawberry chunks. Topped it off with lady finger crumbs and sliced strawberries.
