The making of a Tandoor! For the longest time… a Tandoor in the backyard has been on our list. This summer, that became a reality. Thanks to the passion that led to conversations over beer and sharing of some YouTube videos; the Tandoor came into existence. From concept to upcycling of materials from the backyard; from working tirelessly in 90 degree heat to endless trips to Home Depot and from experimenting to some level of success… this one has been truly a labor of love. The love for Tandoori cooking and eating! I cannot take much credit for this, other than making sure the guys were fed and kept hydrated; and of course I take credit for being the videographer and spot girl. The end result: We are still experimenting and learning, nothing perfected yet… but whatever we’ve cooked, it’s been GOOD! Long way to go… the journey is satisfying to say the least.
