A memory of Neha Limaye (1974–2026), artist, writer and cook. Shared by Chitra.
What she taught me… or at least tried to teach me once was painting at one of the many art festivals she participated in. But then she was a great teacher stuck with a bad student! For one of my birthdays, she handcrafted a cake topper of a Starbucks coffee cup and a book that I kept in my freezer for many years until I think hurricane Sandy power outage ruined it. Another time she turned a simple green glass bottle into a “Citrasupercool” drink version from old times, and it looked exactly like that (I still have it!). Loved how she turned simple ideas into masterpieces!
