Psychedelic brownies đź‘»

Psychedelic brownies 👻 . It’s the night before Halloween and the witch is here. She’s lurking around and she’s cast her spell to turn our brownies psychedelic! . This is how she did it - she says she used her secret brownie recipe for the base. Psst... I know that secret recipe, It’s the one bowl brownie recipe by @myfoodandfamily. I’ve made it for years and it’s fool proof. Start with melting 1 bar of unsweetened baking chocolate (4oz) and 3/4 cup butter together until smooth (2 mins in the microwave). Stir in 1 and 3/4 cup of sugar, followed by 3 eggs, then 1 cup all purpose flour and hint of vanilla extract. If these were your regular brownies, you would go ahead and bake them. . But for the psychedelic spell, the witch put this batter aside and mixed her psychedelic potion - 1 softened brick of cream cheese (8oz), 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tbsp flour and hint of vanilla extract, all mixed together smooth. This was divided into 2 parts. To one part she added 3/4 cup of pumpkin purée and dash of pumpkin pie spice and mixed well. To assemble brownies - She started with a 13x9 pan lined with baking sheet, lightly greased. She spooned in approx 3/4 of the brownie batter and spread in the pan. Next, she evenly spread blobs of white cream cheese mix, pumpkin cream cheese mix and brownie batter. Then with her pointy knife she swirled the colors as she chanted her spell. Lastly, she baked this concoction in oven at 350 (preheated) for approx 30 minutes! Once done, she let the pan cool for a bit, cut out squares and left them on our kitchen counter with a spooky jack o’ lantern! And poof! She’s gone. . What say? Do we dare eat these psychedelic plated expressions? . Make it. Share it. Spook and tag it #platedexpressions .
