When life brings you onions... . Well, life or husband, it’s one and the same. When the husband comes home with two huge bags of onions, you go on a spree of recipes with onions. Today’s lunch was just the beginning. French Onion Soup! Yummy! Maybe I should call it golden onion soup, since I made this one with chicken broth vs. beef broth and skipped the wine/sherry. Simply caramelized onions, added some minced garlic and a bay leaf, slightly thickened with some roux and finished off to a simmer with broth.
