Don’t get bored. Get a summer fruit board!

August 1, 2020

Don’t get bored. Get a summer fruit board! . Happy Saturday all. If you know me, you know my love for boards. 😀 So here’s a summer fruits, cheese and herbs board that is so much fun! It’s easy to take along to a picnic or a backyard gathering as well. Just pack to go and assemble there. . When it comes to boards, my personal preference is to not overcrowd a board, but create little spaces & corners, work with colors & contrasts and give it a flow. This way things are accessible and flavors don’t collide. . Get on board: Fruits: Mango slices, fig quarters and cherries Cheeses: Emmental and Midnight Moon goat cheese. Greens: Mint, basil and stevia leaves (from our garden) Condiment: Orange honey Base: Water crackers and mini toasts . Eat: Layer up your base, cheese, fruit, herbs and dot with honey or not. Play with the flavors as you like. Note: don’t treat the greens as just a decoration. Tear them up and add to your bite! That’s the best part. ☺️ . Fun fact: I didn’t intend to put one cherry out of the board for this picture. But as I was working my camera angle... one cutie decided to roll off and I just let it. 😀 . Hope you enjoy the plated expression of this summer favorite of mine. . Make it. Share it.
