Saving one last bite of Thanksgiving

November 29, 2020

Saving one last bite of Thanksgiving . As we wrap the Holiday weekend off... it’s time to savor the leftovers one last time. And that’s what this post is all about. . So while I baked my mini pumpkin pies a few days ago, I also baked a small 6”x6” naked pumpkin pie (aka no crust). To be honest, I don’t know why I did that when I did it... but I just did. After it was baked, I let it cool and stored it away in the refrigerator. . Over the weekend as we were doing our Black Friday shopping and movie marathons, easy to eat finger foods were our food of choice. That’s when I decided to roll out some pie crust, cut shapes using Fall themed cookie cutters and bake them as chips. I got the naked pie out of the refrigerator and crumbled it up. Added some milk to it to smoothen it and voila pumpkin pie dip was ready to serve alongside the warm pie crust chips! Yum yum! . Note: Pumpkin pie recipe - check my prior post. . Shopping on the couch with this plated expression made for a sweet experience. Time to hit the treadmill over the week now. . Make it. Share it.
