Spiced in quarters . Thursday evenings generally bring that urge to innovate. You are closer to the weekend, it’s been a busy week thus far, sometimes accomplished and sometimes frustrating... either ways, doing something different on a Thursday night always lifts your spirits up. So was the story a couple Thursdays ago. The husband decided to make golden margaritas... I had mixed up some chickpea flour batter or besan batter with chopped onions and chopped green chilies to make savory pancakes or besan chillas, but that urge to do something different kicked in and in went the batter in the waffle iron and out came soft and spongy Masala waffles. The kids loved them and these turned out to be great finger food snack with tomato chutney during a game of Monopoly Deal on the deck. Next time I want to try thinning the batter further to make them crispy and crunchy.
